Work career of Homi Mullan began in 1963, in the field of Technical Sales & Marketing with M/s J. N. Marshall & Co., on graduating in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Mathematics subjects. This provided a strong learning and knowledge back ground in the fields of: Process Steam Engineering; Process Boilers & Oil Firing System; Instrumentation for Process, Pollution and Medical monitoring and control; Utility Piping; Thermal Insulation. The said know how and knowledge base came from the world leaders in the said fields: Spirax-Sarco, UK; Cambridge, UK; Cochran, UK; Clyde UK; Electronic Instrumentation Ltd, UK; Specialisation was steadily achieved in the said fields over a span of Fifteen-years.
Paradigm shift in career took place in 1978, embarking in the field of: Electric Heat Tracing; Electric HV and LV Cable Termination; Specialty Control & Instrumentation cables; Corrosion Protection, whilst working and trained with the India office of Raychem Corporation, Menlo Park, CA, USA., for a period of next Ten-years.
With this back ground experiences and knowledge of Process Steam, and Steam Tracing being predominantly preferred Heat Tracing choice, an innovative and creative challenge was taken at hand to Market and Sell Conductive Polymer Electric Heat Tracing System, possessing unique burnout proof features with built in property of Self-limiting and Self-regulating, in January, 1978.
Later, over the years Homi Mullan was involved in Steam & Electric Heat Tracing, with: Heat Tracing companies: Heat Trace Ltd., UK, along with Xicon International; Thermon Heat Tracers, USA; and until recently (Jan. 2008 to July 2011) with Raychem RPG along with Tyco Thermal Controls, USA.
